Canary yellow, teardrop cut and 29 carats, the Flame of Gold diamond was originally set in a necklace. It won the International Diamond Award in 1957 and six years later was bought by Texas oil magnate EE “Buddy” Fogelson for his wife Greer Garson, the Hollywood star who won an Academy Award for Best Actress. The whereabouts of the gemstone are unknown today.
